Singer, songwriter and producer Ed Robinson was inducted into the International Reggae and World Music Hall of Fame along with A J Brown of Third World and Pluto Shervington. The event was held at the Bailey Hall in Broward College, Fort Lauderdale, Sunday October 4, 2015.
In speaking with Robinson he said “I am honored to receive such an award. I would like to thank the organizers of IRAWMA and all who helped put my music out there”.
Winners for the evening at IRAWMA Osbourne Elliot, Ploomie Lewis, and Desmond Patterson (South Florida Award for Lifetime Contribution to the Music Industry); Inner Circle (most outstanding show band); Latin musician Tito Puente, Jr and broadcaster John T Hodgson (Award of Honor); Tarrus Riley (Best Male Vocalist); Etana (Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award) Code Red (Best South Florida Band)
Established in 1982 by Ephraim Martin. IRAWMA acknowledges the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, songwriters, performers and promoters.
